The presence of mold can be found indoors and outdoors. Mold spores are microscopic and float along in the air and may enter your home through windows, doors, A/C heating systems, or even hitch a ride on your clothing or a pet. The problem with mold begins when the level of mold inside is greater than the levels of mold outdoors. Mold spores thrive on moisture. Mold spores can quickly from when exposed to moisture. Constant moisture is required for its growth, causing mold to start growing in less than 48 hours of moisture or exposure. Evidence of growth can usually be seen (discoloration) or smelled (damp, musty odor).
